  "content": "<p>We're receiving questions from teams who see a high Private Leaderboard score in old notebooks that were not selected for re-run.</p>\n<p>Please note: any Private LB scores before competition close (March 25, 2026) are <em>not</em> directly comparable to the current private leaderboard scores!</p>\n<p>During the competition (before March 25, 2026), the Private Leaderboard comprised a quite distinct set of hidden targets that were actually a bit easier than the final leaderboard (after March 25, 2026). </p>\n<p><strong>So high Private LB scores in prior notebooks should be ignored.</strong> </p>\n<p>Later in 2026, we'll reopen the competition for scoring and you can re-score prior notebooks with the final Private Leaderboard.</p>",

What are you guys thinking that doing this will attract some of us to ever participate in a competition any one involved in this organizes?  I sure won't and have lost my appetite for participating in the April 13th CASP17 dry run as earlier planned. Good luck.</p>",

          "content": "<p>I think the bottom left rectangular-like plotted areas are due to some high-scoring notebooks being shared, which have some randomness in their output.</p>\n<p>The public leaderboard score for rank 100 is 0.417.<br>\nThe public leaderboard score for rank 1000 is 0.388.<br>\nThe rank difference is 900, but the score difference is 0.029.  </p>\n<p>The public leaderboard score for rank 1000 is 0.388.<br>\nThe public leaderboard score for rank 1100 is 0.347.<br>\nThe rank difference is 100, but the score difference is 0.041.  </p>\n<p>The former area is very dense, and even small score differences cause significant changes in the rankings.</p>",
