  "content": "<p>I am working with the provided NIfTI segmentation volumes in the segmentation folder and would like to know how they are mapped from the original DICOM slices (SOPInstanceUID). <br>\nHow were the DICOM slices stacked into the NIfTI volume? <br>\nCan I assume that the slice index in the NIfTI volume directly corresponds to this sorted DICOM order, as I assume this, but in visualization, it is clearly a different way?</p>",

The exact mapping method depends a lot on the type of DICOM and the original header structure. However, you should be able to reproduce it using dcm2niix. Hope this helps.</p>",
