I don’t know this competitions submission policy, however, I think this kind of cheating is applicable to any kind of competitions unless the host checks duplication/similarity of the solutions.
\nSo, I believe the only way to avoid this is participants watch very carefully to not to share their code to suspicious persons.
\nThis scheme was reported by multiple teams on the on-going Otto’s competition, and some accounts are suspected as cheaters.

Hi - I'm totally fascinated by this competition and have spent a lot of time on it running on a MacBook pro (after downloading the data). I have converted the images to full size jpg and then have been using Keras with ImageDataGenerator and both my own models and whatever I can find on the web. I've pretty much reached a stalemate, getting validation scores for precision of around 3%. My learning on python image classification has mostly come from Jason Brownlee's ebooks. To go further I think I need to join a team - which I've never done before. I'm a retired Ph'd in plant breeding with lots of programming experience - and lots of time! LMK if any interest in me trying to help. Thanks.

Hi - I'm totally fascinated by this competition and have spent a lot of time on it running on a MacBook pro (after downloading the data). I have converted the images to full size jpg and then have been using Keras with ImageDataGenerator and both my own models and whatever I can find on the web. I've pretty much reached a stalemate, getting validation scores for precision of around 3%. My learning on python image classification has mostly come from Jason Brownlee's ebooks. To go further I think I need to join a team - which I've never done before. I'm a retired Ph'd in plant breeding with lots of programming experience - and lots of time! LMK if any interest in me trying to help. Thanks.
